Month in Review is my monthly feature where I recap the past month. In these posts I’ll ramble about things that happened in the past month, including sections about books, travel, the blog and the past month’s obsessions.

Top Ten Tuesday: Sequels I Can’t Wait To Get My Hands On
Oh help it’s NaNoWriMo time!
So my posts have been quite sparse the past month, which is because I’m still setting my blog up. Right now though I think I’m FINALLY satisfied enough with my blog design and am more than ready to get this blog up and going. Starting with my first readathon: I’m participating in the reading challenge Get Read-y for 2014 hosted by Loving books. The goal is to read as many books as you can in the month of December, so we can lower our TBR-piles and get ready for 2014 (and for all those new releases I’ll be sure to add to my TBR-pile). I’m just trying to motivate myself to read a lot of books and I’m not pinning a specific number to it. Knowing myself that if I do that, it’ll surely become a chore for me which’ll end up NOT motivating me at all. So, I will see how much I can read, but I hope a lot!
So yeah, this section is just basically me admitting my reading failure this past month. The only book I finished this past month is Monstrous Beauty (review see above). Which doesn’t count that much since I finished it the first day of November. What happened? Well, I started the Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa, and while I certainly don’t dislike it, I haven’t felt the need to pick it up much. And I NEVER DNF a book or start another one at the same time. So I’ve spend my free time with other hobbies like gaming, which I normally don’t really do. I don’t really mind it, as long as I can finally finish The Eternity Cure soon.
And yes, I have a section dedicated to travel. For now nothing’s going on, but in the future this section will be filled with a recap of my travel-related posts and the places I’ve visited that month.
I’m participating in The Broke and The Bookish Secret Santa this year and I’m loving it! I have already shopped for books, now I’m only waiting on some things from Etsy to arrive so I can send it to my Secret Santa person. Hope she’ll love the gifts!
So yeah, I’ve been kind of addicted to One Direction’s new album. Who would have thought! Anyway, I especially really love Little Black Dress. I’ve been listening on repeat a whole lot.
Now tell me, what’s been going on with you the past month?
